Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba will be speaking on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This session will provide an overview of the following topics:

- Introduction to AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning

- Generative AI and Large Language Models - Exploring their capabilities, applications, and examples like ChatGPT, Bard, Claude, and DALL-E.

- Immersive Technologies - Covering the spectrum of extended reality technologies including Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR)

- Future-Shaping Innovations - Highlighting other transformative technologies

Speaker Bio

Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at Regis University's Department of Marketing and Data Sciences, where he teaches graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Data Science program. With a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and over 12 years of professional teaching and research experience, Dr. Mujtaba specializes in deep learning, computer vision, and multimedia retrieval. His research contributions include developing state-of-the-art lightweight deep learning techniques for resource-constrained edge devices, with applications in video analysis and personalized media generation. Before joining Regis University, he gained diverse experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at West Virginia University, Research Engineer at C-JeS Gulliver Studio in South Korea, and Senior Researcher at DeltaX. Dr. Mujtaba has published in prestigious journals, holds a U.S. patent application, and maintains active membership in professional organizations including IEEE as a Senior Member.
